About the Honda Accord

Building on its already impressive reputation, the Honda Accord enters its 11th generation of defining the midsize sedan segment. Its bold styling is attractive and sophisticated, and this is continued in the sleek interior, which now shares a number of design cues with other recently redesigned Honda models. A 192-horsepower four-cylinder engine is standard, which also delivers exceptional fuel economy. Honda puts a big emphasis on safety, and that means that the Accord comes standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver aid technology. That includes things like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) with Traffic Jam Assist, which would command a hefty upcharge on competing sedans.

What the Critics Say

At 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque, the little engine is appropriately powerful for the car. The turbo comes on quickly and makes the car pretty zippy off the line as basic midsize sedans go. Honda’s CVT remains one of the best around, changing ratios quickly and smoothly and making the most of the available power." — MotorTrend

The reason the Accord has been so successful over the years, even against the SUV onslaught, is that it does things right in all the areas that really matter – reliability, safety, value for money, build quality, space, equipment, comfort, and refinement. Some rivals come close, but invariably the Accord tends to have the edge. That's why it's been a multiple winner of KBB awards. Now it adds updated technology and great fuel economy to outclass the competition even more emphatically." — Kelley Blue Book

What's New For 2026

While mostly minor, there are still some notable updates to the legendary Honda Accord for the 2026 model year. In terms of tech, every Accord now comes standard with a 9-inch color touchscreen that’s 30% larger than the outgoing screen. Additionally, SE grades receive new 19-inch alloy wheels for more agile handling. Aside from those two improvements, the Accord soldiers on mostly unchanged from last year.

Honda Accord Styling

Efficient Performance

One of the major draws of the Honda Accord has always been its superior driving dynamics. This is now more true than ever and yet the Accord has also become incredibly fuel efficient as well. The 1.5-liter VTEC® Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a CVT and delivers an impressive combined rating of up to 32 MPG highway fuel economy**. Power delivery is smooth and refined, allowing for spirited driving that doesn’t come at the expense of comfort. Striking a unique balance between efficiency and exhilaration, the Honda Accord continues to lead the midsize sedan segment when it comes to driving dynamics and athletic handling.

Honda Accord Interior

Impressive Interior

The Honda Accord features a supremely comfortable interior with a design that looks good and boosts driver enjoyment from behind the wheel. If you’re struck by how quiet it is, that’s because active noise cancellation is standard. A one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature is standard on select trims and heated front seats are available more maximum comfort on chilly winter mornings. Enjoy the ease of the 9-inch infotainment touchscreen which offers wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. A 160-watt audio system comes standard and a 180-watt, 8-speaker system is available when you move up to the SE trim. A 10.2-inch digital instrument panel comes standard and it is fully customizable, allowing you to find the layout that works best for you.

Tons of Tech

When it comes to cutting-edge technology, the Honda Accord is unrivaled in its segment. This is especially true of safety technology, which the Accord has a generous helping of. In fact, quite a lot of the tech that's standard on the Accord will cost you extra on most competitors. This includes things like Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, and Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR). There are LED headlights, taillights, and daytime running lights, and even front knee airbags come standard. All Accord trims can use the HondaLink subscription services, which include things like the ability to remote start the car from anywhere using a smartphone app.
